Social Media rules of engagement
We reserve the right to remove any comment or user from our blogs (or any other social media related website that Ribena operates where public commentary is available) – although we have no duty to do so. When comments are removed, it’s usually because they break one or more of our rules of engagement. Repeated violation of these rules may result in the suspension of your commenting privileges.
Specific engagement rules:
- Offensive content is not permitted. We don’t allow obscene, racist or sexually explicit language, or profanities. Personal attacks are not permitted. We reserve the right to remove comments that are abusive, threatening or defamatory, or those that incite hatred against any social, religious or ethnic group. We also reserve the right to remove comments that are off-topic or not in English.
- Do not harass or threaten anyone. Comments that might be construed as such may be removed and made available to law enforcement officials.
- No solicitations or advertisements are allowed. This includes advertisements for your business or any other commercial promotion or campaigning.
- You may link to other informational websites when relevant to the discussion, provided the other sites do not contravene these rules.
- You may not condone or promote illegal activities. Ribena.com will assist law enforcement officials in any investigation of such activities.
- Choose a username carefully. You may not use names which breaks any of these rules or that are meant to imitate other users. Any such names will be blocked from commenting on our blogs.
- You must have copyright ownership of all material that you post on our blogs. Nothing may be posted without the express written consent of the copyright holder. If you would like to refer to an article from another site, please post no more than a few lines summarising the article or include a link to it.
- You must respect the privacy of individuals. This means no giving out or requesting personal details (such as e-mail, phone number, password or address), links to social networking sites or arranging real-life meetings.
- Good manners online means that you don’t post the same comment more than once. The submission of the same or very similar contributions many times is considered spam and is not permitted.
You participate at your own risk on the blogs, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, or any other related social media site that Ribena operates. You take responsibility for comments under your username and use the information provided at your own risk. Ribena takes no responsibility for the content or opinions posted here.
Please keep these rules in mind as you use our websites. Thanks for participating.
